Just a quick reminder that we are holding a talk about end of Key Stage Assessment procedures for those of you that have children in Year 2 on:
Wednesday 8th February 6 - 7pm
We realise that the end of Key Stage levels can be a little confusing, particularly for those of you for whom this is the "first time". We hope that this evening will de-mystify the whole process and explain what the different Levels of attinment mean.
We look forward to seeing you
National Libraries Day is taking place on Saturday 4th February and we have been invited to Rochester Library for a storytelling experience on Wednesday 1st February.
The children will leave school after registration in the morning and are hoping to return to school by lunchtime. Therefore can we please ask that ALL children come into school with a packed lunch on this day and should your child receive free school meals a packed lunch will be provided. As we will be walking to the Rochester Libraray can we please ask that ALL children come to school with sensible shoes and a warm coat. The trip will be fully subsidised by the library so no donation will be required.
We would appreciate offers of help for the day.
Thank you
kind regards,
Miss Chastney & Miss Slattery
Dear Parents,
Unfortunately Mrs Curzon has been taken poorly. She has been advised to take a period of sickness leave from work until Monday 30th January. During this time the Governing body have asked if I would hold the fort and assume the responsibilites of the headteaching role. Mrs Worrall has kindly agreed to teach in Squirrel class until my return. I will be based in class on Wednesday and will continue to plan for your child's teaching and learning.
If you should have any questions or concerns please feel free to raise these with me. I'm sure you will join me in wishing Mrs Curzon a speedy recovery.
Kinds Regards
Mrs Finch
Deputy Headteacher
Welcome to St. Peter’s Infant School website.
St Peter’s is a very friendly, supportive and nurturing school, where all members of the school community work as a team to make the time that the children spend with us positive and remembered fondly. We have high expectations for the children in our care, not only for academic success but in all aspects of their personal achievement. We firmly believe that children learn best and are most positive about their school experiences when they have high self-esteem, self worth and respect for others.
We encourage our children to work to the best of their ability in all aspects of school life - academically, socially and emotionally - thus equipping them to be valuable citizens of the future. St Peter’s aims to provide a broad, high quality education that helps the children develop into independent young people, able to apply their skills and knowledge to whatever lies ahead. We aim to develop in our children an enthusiasm for learning that will carry on with them into adulthood.
St. Peter’s has a strong philosophy of team work that is extended out to home. We seek to foster a strong home/school partnership that helps to build upon and consolidate the unique set of experiences that your child will bring to the school.
We trust that you will find the information you require on our website and more.
